Very quick service and I was able to customize my parts going into the transmission. Upon receiving my truck back, Alex explained the break-in process, and I successfully completed that break-in. I drove my vehicle from Colorado to Virginia and a few days after arriving the transmission threw a couple of codes. After talking to my sister about her transmission repairs she told me about Nutech. Alex did a diagnostic and advised me as to the repairs that it needed. Reviewed the cost of repairs and gave me a timeline as to when the repairs would be completed. The day after I got my car I made the trip back to Colorado. The car performed great. I took my car to nutech transmission for noise. They immediately took the car for test drive and confirmed the noise is bearing noise coming from either the transmission or the differential. I left the car for them to lift it to further identify the source of the noise. Few hours later they informed me that it is bearing noise from the transmission. They advised me that the vehicle is not safe to drive. After numerous calls to different transmission providers, they were able to give me reasonable estimate for the replacement of the transmission. I recommend them.

I recently had my Jeep taken there for a diagnostic before having any work done on it. The shop got back to me within a day and broke down my options clearly which were all reasonably priced based off my research of the work required. Alex was incredibly helpful but I ultimately decided to not effect the repair. They gave me ample time to have the Jeep picked back up and even worked with me on the diagnostic fee. I definitely recommend using them solely from a customer service perspective.

Alex and NuTech are awesome. If you are looking for an honest shop that doesn’t price gouge this is the place in Fredericksburg. Took my car in due to a transmission code and having transmission problems. He gave me a quick diagnosis and fixed the car i n less than 24 hours for an extremely reasonable price. 10/10 recommend.

Amazing family owned business!!! I had purchased a vehicle 36 hours prior (FROM A DEALERSHIP!) that I was now questioning the transmission in. I contacted NuTech in tears and a SERIOUS bind. Alex told me to come right over. They IMMEDIATELY gave the car a transmission test. The car threw 2 transmission codes requiring a new transmission. Alex provided an estimate, that I could bring back to the dealership to support my refund request. Alex contacted the warranty company to inquire about coverage. Finally, Alex offered to help me out if I was stuck with the scam vehicle. Alex even called and checked on me knowing I was going back to the original Dealership upset. The family at NuTech are truly amazing people! Kind, caring and thorough. They helped me through a horrible situation that was COMPLETELY not their problem one bit, simply because "they never want to see their clients or other good people be taken advantage of." Alex has even offered to keep his eyes out for a reliable vehicle that would be a safe first car for my daughter. Alex and the crew at Nutech restored my faith in the auto repair service industry. In early September 2025 I had a suspicion something had gone wrong with the transmission in my 2020 Silverado. The local Chevrolet dealership in the area told me I was one month out of my warranty period and that I would need to schedule at least a month out for any serious transmission repair. Basically left high and dry, I scheduled a visit at Nutech and asked to drop off the truck the night before. Alex and crew were accommodating and actually called me the next day two hours before my scheduled appointment with a diagnoses. Alex was honest about the problem (faulty torque converter) and gave me multiple options and recommendations for a repair at a respectable price. They had the job done and I had the truck back in four days even on a holiday weekend. No issues since. Highly recommend.

In September 2025, my 2015 GMC Acadia needed to have the transmission rebuilt. I did some research on local transmission repair shops and settled on NuTech. I am certainly glad I did! Alex and his technicians are first class. The work they did was great and the price was reasonable. Since picking up the car, I've taken two road trips and have not had any problems with the transmission. I would certainly recommend NuTech to anyone who needs a transmission overhaul.

Great customer service and very fast workers. Went in for a diagnostic and got a price for rebuilding the transmission. Didnt get it rebuilt but the owner was generous enough to not charge me for the diagnostic. Will do business with them again definitely!

Had problems with shifting in my 2006 VW beetle. Took car to our usual shop who immediately determined it was my transmission and since they do not work on transmissions, other than to install them, offered to install a rebuilt one for over $7K. I went to Nu Tech seeking a second opinion since they are transmission specialists. After running diagnostics and giving my car a thorough inspection they found that the only thing my car needed was to top off the transmission fluid, which they did and sent me on my way. I can't say enough about how attentive they were to my needs and easy to talk to. I highly recommend Nu Tech transmissions and would not hesitate to go back if the need arises.

NuTech Transmission did a fabulous job on getting my 4L60E transmission done and back to me fast. I called in having a problem with my reverse not working after I rebuild the transmission. Alex was on the phone telling me to bring in the transmission and they will look at it for me. After I got told by a couple of other shops they wouldn’t look at it. I brought it to them and the same day they torn down my transmission and called me and told me what when wrong. I gave them the green light to get it fix and a couple of days later. I get a call saying they were done. I got the transmission back into the truck and it’s shifting and got reverse now. Big shout out to Alex and Lenny for helping me out and for a reasonable price.Most definitely will be coming back. Thanks guys.

Brought my subaru impreza to nutech , after doing a good bit of research on new vs. Used transnsmissions I asked if I could purchase a used and have it delivered to them would the do the install and he said no problem .he gave me a quote on a rebuilt transmission that he could get, which is pretty costly but after doing a lot of checking I decided no to go with a used one and have them install the one he suggested. They have a very fair price and had the car up and running even sooner than I'd expected , so I'd definitely recommend these guy. I felt they were very honest an reasonablely price in comparing with others. Car is running good after 2 weeks of 100 mile per day commuting
